Responsible Mining

For GeoMegA, responsible mining takes place on three levels:

Enterprise

In the next months, GeoMegA will adopt a sustainable development policy based on the common values of our key stakeholders. This will be the starting point for the preparation of an action plan. The aim is to create a framework that will highlight, specify and bound the values that have guided all of GeoMegA’s personnel from the start. For us, it is a process of continuous improvement.

Local and regional communities:

Each of GeoMegA’s project is an integral part of a different territory which has its own specificities. The land is the cornerstone of a people’s identification to a community, a region or even a culture. Without the support and implication of individuals and local communities that are involved in our projects, they lose their purpose.

Global:

GeoMegA’s mission is to find and mine metals and minerals for which there is a growing demand, especially in clean energy and high technology industries. As such, GeoMegA is committed to ensuring that the products that are extracted from its eventual mines will be the result of a shared vision with our stakeholders, and this is how we intend to bring a positive contribution to global sustainable development.

Responsible mining development:

Is development that integrates itself with the territories and host communities.
Is development that respects local values.
Is development that is concerned with the wellbeing and safety of its stakeholders.
Is development that minimizes negative impacts on ecosystems.
Is development that maximizes local economic benefits.
Is development that integrates the concerns of all stakeholders.
Is development that is aware of its positive or negative impacts, both locally and globally.
Is development that is concerned about the future of host communities.

In brief, it is a development that is sustainable!

In the coming weeks, this section of the website will be completed and regularly updated.
