Pouya Hajiani, Ph.D
Process EngineeringMr. Pouya Hajiani joined GéoMégA in March 2013. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering with a strong background in physical separation, particularly magnetic separation.
Before joining GéoMégA, he has been working as process engineer and project manager for several petrochemical companies in Middle East under supervision of RSI (IFP Group, France).
Mr. Hajiani received his PhD from Laval University under the supervision of professor Faïçal Larachi. During his PhD, he developed a new concept in process intensification that uses magnetic material to intensify chemical processes in micro/nano scale, far beyond the molecular transport limitation.
Geomatician, M.ScMr. Barucchi joined GéoMégA in September 2011. He holds a M.Sc in geomatics and a B.Sc in geosciences with a combined background in geology and physical geography.
Prior to joining GéoMégA, he has been working as a geomatician for various companies in Canada, Australia and Europe.
Mr. Barucchi received his Master in geomatics from the University of Quebec a Montreal UQAM and his Baccalaureate in geosciences from the University of British Columbia.
Mia Pelletier, Geo. M.Sc
Environmental geochemistryMme Pelletier joined GéoMégA in September 2011 as a geologist for the definition drilling campaign of the Montviel deposit. In addition of participating to the elaboration of the geological modeling of Montviel, she supervises the environmental geochemical aspect of the Montviel property since December 2012. She also participates in the other exploration campaigns of GéoMégA’s mining properties.
Prior to joint GéoMégA, Mme Pelletier has worked for various mining exploration company such as Virginia Mines where she acted as an exploration geologist from 2008 to 2011.
Mme Pelletier holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a master’s degree in Earth’s Sciences mainly oriented on environmental geochemistry.
SustainabilityMr. Gauthier joined Geomega in January 2012 to ensure that the company and its projects are developed in a sustainable manner. He coordinates permit applications, environmental studies and community relations. He is also responsible for the development, integration and monitoring of a sustainable development policy.
Before joining Geomega's team, Mr. Gauthier was a sustainable development consultant for mineral exploration companies in Abitibi, including Cartier Resources and Osisko Mining Corporation. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Land Use planner for the Town of Rouyn-Noranda. He also worked as project manager for the Land Reclamation of an exploration site in northern Russia.
Mr. Gauthier holds a BA in Geography and a Certificate in Environmental Science from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Before going to university, Mr. Gauthier also obtained a Technical College degree in Forest Management.
